Just got the Dinc2 and the first thing I did was root it and get MIUI setup on it which leads me to my questions:
1.) On my Dinc, I use to have access to the emmc folder on the internal storage that I used to keep movies I had converted from DVD's to phone format. It saved space on the SD Card. I don't see the emmc folder anymore in root explorer and when I plug in the phone to my PC, I don't get two mounted drives. I'm guessing that means I no longer have access to it, but I want to be sure. Is this indeed the case?
2.) I run MIUI on my Dinc and the verison I use had an issue with the build.prop file. It had the wrong software version listed so Verizon would constantly try and download the latest 2.3.4 update eating up data usage and battery life. The trick was to edit the build.prop with the proper text so that the update wouldn't keep trying.
I looked at the build.prop for the version of MIUI i'm using on the Dinc2 and it has version 2.3.3. I'm worried Verizon is going to try and push the 2.3.4 update again. I know it won't install, but it will keep trying to download it like it did on the Dinc. I want to edit the build.prop so that Verizon thinks I have the latest version. I know how to edit it, but I don't know exactly what the proper text would be. Does any of this make sense
? Does anyone know what the build.prop should say for the latest version? I think I need to do more than just change 2.3.3 to 2.3.4.
