Root 2 questions - Home screen and freezing issues

Bryonium

Newbie
After installing Reppard cm7 rom I have 2 questions.

1.My home screen seems to magically and randomly remove the 5 bottom home screen icons almost every other day. I reboot and they reappear. Anyone know the cause or the solution of this?

2.I thought installing a rom would fix the Lg Optimus M's freezing problem that almost everyone has on . It still resets/reboots alot when im browsing webpages (both on Dolphin and stock CM browser) or using an app .
Is there any fix for this (Other than downloading the stock LG update)?

Oh and thanks to everyone who has worked tirelessly on the LG Optimus M. I was able to go from stock to root to rom easily using all the guides here.

Did u overclock?

The ADW launcher that is stock with Reppards rom has a "hidden dock bar" try doing a very tiny swype down over where the bottom icons usually are and they should come back. If you do a tiny swype up over them they disappear again. This is actually toggling the "main dockbar" and the "hidden dockbar". When they disappear you can actually long press and drag and drop apps into the hidden dockbar so can have two now that you know how to toggle between the two. Took me a minute to figure that out lol :D

Oh okay that might be it, Ill have to try it next time it happens.

well you can try it right now lol. Just do a tiny swype up over the icons and they should disappear...then you can move some more apps down there if you want. then swype back up over them and you get your original dock bar back.

Yeap, its enabled -__- thought it was a flaw that was only happening to me. Thanks alot P-Bot!
Now if I can resolve the browser freezing issue Ill be set for the next year or so :D

did you flash g-apps with the rom? i know that not having g-apps is a pain in the ass but i read somewhere on this forum that not flashing g-apps helped with the freezing issue. However, to me it really sounds like an Overclocking issue. What is your optimus clocked at right now? If you didnt over-clock at all it should be on 600 mhz

I did flash g apps cause I didnt wanna brick it and I imagined it was necessary. Right now im running SMARTASSV2-minCPU:245 maxCPU:600 , Surface dithering is enabled , and VM heap size is 32m. Its strange because the phone freezes and reboots on simple sites like Gizmodo, a site that doesnt seem to strain its capabilities.
