Root 2 questions

So I rooted my desire and have a few issues.

I restored my apps but any new apps I download are saved on phone memory not SD. I have downloaded root explorer, but I don't know how to move apps or set default to save to card. Anyone know? I also have an app appearing twice in the menu when i install it. Removing and reinstalling causes the same.

Also, how do i delete footprints and Google talk?

Thanks all in advance!

Another problem is that the marketplace only lists some of my apps now. So will I have to manually check for updates for all the rest now?

I'm wondering if rooting was really worth it. :-(

Apps2SD is a separate download. Without it, all your apps will still be saved to the phone memory. As for the updates, use aTrackDog. After updating your apps, they should all appear in the Market under Downloads again.

Yeah in the rooting guide I followed the last step to install apps2sd. After I was done I had about 130 internal space but as I downloaded new apps, the internal memory went down. Is apps2sd an actual program visible in the menu? i dont see anything there.

Your internal memory will go down (a little) as from what I've read certain little bits of the apps have to go on the phone ( I have 27 apps installed after apps to sd installed totalling about 55mb and internal memory has gone down about 10mb still got 124mb free internal)

I just tested by downloading a 4 meg app and the internal memory went down by that much. I read somewhere that apps2sd can install both on phone and on SD. How can I check this?
