Help 2 sd card folders??

When I go to the root of.my phones file system. I have two sd card folders.. that's new to me.. I started poking around because I kept getting a notification saying "sd card blank".... ???...but that was of course not true.. I then went ahead and partitioned my sd card and that got rid of the notification... But I still have 2 sd card folders.... Is that normal with the rezound?
Also a2sd won't work for one of 3 reasons... No script found, no ext partion found, or not rooted... I am rooted so how can I tell which one of the first two is the problem

I'm new to the Rezound (came over from the Droid X), but my understanding is that the phone's internal storage is partitioned into two drives (~2GB and ~10.5GB) and that the larger partition is accessible storage and reads as an SD card.

The actual, removable SD card lower in hierarchy and shows as the 2nd SD card - or later drive letter when connected to a PC.

I'm not rooted...yet... so I'm of no use regarding the rest of the question.
