Accessories 2000mAh battery for TP2/Hero/Evo

If I understand correctly, the Evo uses the same battery as the Hero, which uses the same battery as the Touch Pro 2. I have one of these for my Hero, and I figured some of you will be needing one soon >.>

It won't make your battery last longer, per se, but it doesn't drain nearly as fast under intense usage. Its kind of hard to explain, but basically you get more use out of the battery during a given time, while standby time stays mostly the same. I definitely recommend getting one though, its worth the whopping $10 you pay.

If anyone is interested, they can be found here (for now, anyways):

2000mah Spare Battery for HTC Touch Pro 2 T7373 Sprint - eBay (item 390187525611 end time May-24-10 22:30:18 PDT)

Did I mention its the same size as the stock battery?

anyone know if these are the same batteries as the HTC Mogul or HTC Touch (original)? I have several extras of those laying around...

Just curious, how do I make a 1-touch button to put on one of my 7 screens that will disable wifi and GPS and 4G and sometimes possibly bluetooth? Then another 1-touch button from a screen to bring them back, and possibly 1-touch buttons for just gps, bluetooth, or wifi?

Nice.

So, question. If one were to get an extended battery which usually needs a bigger back, would that raise the camera lens from touching the surface?

TS

Yes - it is a nice added benefit of having the extended battery.
I have the 3500 battery and my lens does not touch the surface.

Got the Studio 3500. only need to recharge every other day with use of all features except bluetooth and hdmi. Should have gotten this a long time ago. Battery with door and Extended case fit clip used with Innocase II holster.

I'm at 44 hours since unplug and still have almost 50% battery left. I do shut off gps while sleeping at night though which helps with all batteries.

Okay, I got my 2000mah battery in and am currently using it. I'm sorry to report that it seems like it doesn't really last as long as my 1800mah battery. Then again, when I got my 1800mah battery, it initially seemed like it lasted just as long as my OEM, but as time went on, my OEM didn't last nearly as long anymore.

Anyhow, even though the 2000mah battery is fairly new on ebay...I'd say the 1800mah batteries are much more reliable. I went ahead and purchased a 3500 mah, just for days when I know I won't be able to charge up and will be using my phone a lot.

I also purchased a Kensington pocket charger that has a built in micro-usb (was on sale for cheap on 1-sale-a-day, a couple days ago).

I'm not really looking forward to ever having to have a bulkier phone, just to ensure my phone will last while out and about (w/ heavy usage), but it seems like it's the only real alternative right now (or carrying an extra battery, which I'm not too fond of either).

Anyhow, for those of you that were considering the 2000mah, if you already have the 1800mah...just stick with that for now.

Not an official review but using my 2000mah now. Got almost 9 hours of heavy use out of it.

As drex said, not much better than the 1800 if at all.

LOL...I have even worse news to report. I've been switching back and forth between the 2000mah and 1800mah and my 1800mah is by FAR more reliable and lasts longer.

The other day, I left my house at 8am to go get my car detailed. Had to burn 3 hours of time, so I decided to use my phone heavily within that 3 hours. By the time I picked my car up, around 12 (so, it was actually 4 hours that I didn't charge the phone), it was down to 12 percent!

Since I thought it was an unfair evaluation, I decided to keep switching it out for the past couple days to see if it would at least hold up to the 1800mah that I use regularly, w/ normal/average use. Nope...LOL...it was much worse. On Monday, I only used it to text (and had my normal weather/gps/gmail push/mail push every 4 hours activated) and it was down to 20% by 3pm (taken off the charger at 730am).

I honestly think this 2000mah is something in the range of 1100mah, just relabled...LOL.
