2011 Honda Odyssey with EVO

Hi folks- I did some research before buying the new minivan but couldn't find any information, so I thought I'd give some information in case others are looking for it.

The EVO pairing will work fine w/2011 Odyssey. It will work with Bluetooth Phone, Bluetooth Audio, and Audio Navigation (Nav voice plays over car speakers)

Even though the Honda website says these should not work:
http://automobiles.honda.com/handsfreelink/find-a-phone.aspx

The newer EVO Froyo update looks to have added support for A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth Profiles - which is what the Honda needs to support those features.

Pretty cool to use Google Navigation and get the bluetooth voice over the car speakers, with auto mute on music playing from DoubleTwist.

Works with Ford/Microsoft sync also (version one in my 08 explorer and myford touch/version two in the 2011 explorer).

Since you mentioned doubletwist...I am wondering something. I had to ditch it because when I used the steering wheel control for pandora it fired up doubletwist on song skips. Does the odyssey do this?

Yes, Odyssey will pair with EVO just fine and you can access phonebook, call history, dial from vehicle, access to Bluetooth audio media files of the EVO all from the steering controls as well as the dashboard.

Also one thing while pairing do not allow the vehicle to access your phone book when promted on the phone screen, just decline on your phone when it seeks permission to access phonebook, as once it's paired give it 10 secs and you will have all features available on the Honda's dashboard.

Cheers!

I havent used a rental with bluetooth that hasnt worked with both the audio and phone features on my Evo.

I have a 2011 Odyssey and EVO 4G rooted running CyanogenMod 7.1 and Tiamat Kernel. The handsfree link is connected to both my wife's phone and mine. When I'm in the car with her, the phone pairs to mine, but the Media link pairs to her Blackberry. I can disconnect my phone from the pairing, but I can't disconnect her phone from the Media, other than to ask her to turn off her bluetooth.

Anythoughts on how to reconfigure this or correct it?
