hai, I am thinking of buying a 2013 nexus 7 but in doubt about that decision because I not sure if google will launch a new nexus this july and I will be the idiot who bought an old tablet when the new one is about to come in !!! Please reply.......:confused::smokingsomb::(
 
If you want it get it... Don't get caught in chasing the latest, or you will never buy. At least that is my opinion. The current version will give you good performance for quite some time.
 
Yeah, he's right I have a 2013 nexus 32gb and its a beautiful device. A new one comes out every year you can't worry about that, its the nature of tech.
 
Agreed. There may be a nexus 8 coming, but rumor suggests very late in the year if at all. But then next year there will be another, so if you keep waiting when do you ever buy? Just get it and don't look back, its a great device. Something new is always right around the corner. This one just came out last July and is still usually listed as the top 7 inch tablet to buy.
 
It won't really matter new ones are just a tad bit faster with a new chip, probably have a little bit more screen and improvements to the camera and will maybe cost more get the 2013 one
 
I've been itching to get a nexus 7 after seeing a few of my friends with them. Woot has factory reconditioned 32gb models for $185. Thoughts?
 
I bought a refurb off Ebay for $169 shipped. It is a 32gb 2013 version.
It works and looks 100%. I tried a couple of 8" pads but much prefer the 7".
Best part of it is that it is a Nexus device! I have already unlocked, rooted, and have a new rom on it and I am not regretting the purchase at all.
Kit Kat 4.4.2 running Dirty Unicorns. Awesome indeed :)
