Accessories 2150 Charge Time

This is for all the folks who own a 2150 battery.

How long is it taking you guys to get the green light? It's taking me 3 hours now and still no green light. What's the deal?? Anybody experiencing quicker, or the same time?

Man, I couldn't tell ya... I only charge mine at night when I go to bed.

I do know that I put it on the charger at midnite and got called in around 3 and Battery Life showed 96% - but it wasn't fully calibrated to the new battery so I can't be sure it was even in the ballpark...

You using the stock charger or another method? First charge?

Just the regular charger that came with the phone. It makes sense I guess, larger battery, more time to charge. Yesterday, when I got it for the first charge before turning it on, (i'm assuming it was half charged), it took 2 1/2 hours. today I burned it down to 11% and put it on, so far it's been 3 hours.

Edit: Spare parts say's it's 98%.

step 1. brush teeth
step 2. Floss
step 3. plug in phone
step 4. sleep
step 5. wake up, phone charged.

Watching your phone charge is like watching paint dry.

haha, I hear ya. I just want to condition this battery right, so I"m being anal about it. After a week I won't care what % it's on. lol.

I bought the 2150 a few weeks ago. I put it in the phone and plugged it in. How's that for conditioning? I don't believe in any of that conditioning nonsense. Your battery has so many charge cycles. Once you reach that amount, your battery won't hold a charge. No amount of conditioning is gonna change that.

With all due respect, it can't hurt to do it, so that's my only reasoning for doing it, . . . but when in Rome.

FWIW, Today I let my 2150 discharge to shut-off (to calibrate my Battery meter - ran it hard and made right at 32 hours, BTW).

I put it on the charger at 4:45 and it went green at 7:45. So 3 hours from stone dead to "full" in my sample of 1.

Keep in mind, that was simply my phone "going green", as well as the system battery monitor and Battery Left widget showing 100%. I know it's not at true full capacity, but I don't bother bump charging on a regular basis as the 30+ hours I'm getting now is FAR beyond my requirements.
