PROBABLY because its a BATTERY THREAD. What did you want people to come on here and talk about their jock itch? You don't like it, don't come here and read it. There are more than enough other threads to read on this forum.
 
My original charger works fine, as well (charged the new batt with it last nite, infact).

Also charged with a non-oem usb cable from my usb port with no issue the day before...

Since your comment was such a hard one to decipher, I am guessing it took him several hours. Hopefully he can now return the several books he borrowed from the library to decrypt your Grade A comment to Bob and I don't even want to guess how hard Cincy tried googling the internets to understand your post to begin with.

I don't know what was Bob thinking when he wanted to help others out, who don't normally post a whole lot, but read a lot of threads to assimilate information. Shame on Bob.

SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE F*** IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE THESE DAYS?
 
Just got the 2150 today and it looks just fine. Pictures dont do it justice. Its really not that much bigger. I think its easier to hold, plus more time away from the charger. :)
 
I just ordered mine.
Realize that these batteries are Lithium Polymer (LiPo).
LiPos usually take a little time to condition or to charge to full peak. If you put it on the charger every night it should take about a week to 9 days to see the real peak use time of these batteries.
Now I'm just waiting for Froyo.

Mine is labeled "Li-Ion", versus LiPo, Li-Poly or Li-Ion Polymer...


ETA: FWIW, htcpedia lists it at a Li-Po, however VZW simply states Li-Ion... The battery does stick with Li-Ion, so I'm unsure...
 
I just contacted OtterBox's customer service using their "Contact Us" link Contact Information // OtterBox.com and suggested that they should offer a case that fits the HTC 2150 extended cover. I told them I though that offering a case that fit extended battery covers would give them a second advantage over the competition. The first being quality product. Also suggested that this battery has the potential to be the most popular with Droid Incredible users due to Verizon's distribution. Please consider doing the same. Maybe if they get enough requests they'll make it a reality.

I ordered this. I get a verizon discount from work so it was 25% off. Can't beat that! Here on Monday!
 
I do love this battery, but...

It's starting to not last as long as the first two charges. I'll have brightness set to half, wifi or 3G on (usually not both at the same time), no GPS or BT, sync every 2 hours min frequency, 10 texts a day, 1 hr of phone calls and about 40-60 min of Sirius streamed.

I get max awake time of 7 hours. It used to be over 10 and I haven't added any widgets.

I ordered the $15 eBay extended 2600 battery. I'd like to see if it'll it in the OEM 2150 back cover. If it does, that might be the best option for battery life.

Then, I just need another hard silicone case off Fommy ($10) so I can mod it. I really did love the sleekness of the stock battery or 1500 OEM with the hard silicone case. Too bad.

On the fence now about the Seidio Innocase Active. I think I'd rather have an external charger instead. The Active can't protect the phone THAT much better than the hard silicone case...
 
Ive had mine for a few days now. Love this thing.

pros...obvious longer lasting (almost double), when sitting on back not resting on camera lens.

cons...heavier (bulkier) so if dropped more possible damage.

i did like the slimness of i did like the slimness of the original but am getting used to the thickness of this one and think i was well worth it. I didnt mind charging at night, just didnt like car charging so much.

Since I am not an electrical engineer and don't play one on the internet, I'm confused by this notion of battery conditioning. Half the "experts" here say conditioning is necessary and the other half says conditioning is nonsense.

So, who actually knows and can attach a legitimate cite?

FYI: I have a friend with a Moto Droid. With the 2150 in my phone my phone is slightly thicker than the Moto and about the same weight.

I am hoping to understand that myself, which is why I am testing a SEIDIO 1750mAh battery (2 actually) through their recommended 5 to 6 charges to see if the battery actually gains in capacity...

wow... thats odd. The original little 1Amp/5v power plug couldnt charge the battery ?
 
I just got my 2150. It really doesn't look bad at all. Those pictures really turned me away, but I decided to give it a try with a 25% discount. How long should I charge it for prior to using it?
 
Just ordered the extended battery...it will be here tomorrow, just in time for a long day in NYC on Wednesday. Really looking forward to a case that fits the extended battery. Currently have the 2 piece clear plastic case and it does a nice job of protecting the Incredible from nicks and scratches.

If you were planning on using your case it wont fit with the extended battery if its the 2150 from Verizon... unless you mod the case. Which is what I am planning on doin till someone makes a case for it.
 
I've had the HTC 2150 battery since Thursday, and so far I am really happy. Gone are all of my battery life worries. It's lasting for 2 days and then some with all my sensors turned on and with my usage level (it's not an electronic umbilical to my friends' brains).
 
This battery works great! Up time is 39:44 and awake time is 12:40 when the battery indicator hit red.

Just modify/cut a case to fit until they make cases for the extended battery.
 
I am looking at getting this battery, has anyone used with the HTC branded soft case they sell at Bestbuy? Just curious if it will stretch over the new battery door or not.
