Help *228

I saw where you don't use *228 when setting the phone up, and I read somewhere that the TB updates roaming automatically.
My connection is worse in some locations then it was on my Moto-Droid.
For those of you with 4G or getting it in the near future....good for you. I won't be seeing it where I live for quite a while. :(

Have you tried snubbing the instructions and *228-ing anyway?

i tried it a day ago and it did nothing... literally nothing. sorry about ur fried sim card
well i did it prior to the SIM being activated. maybe thats why. but the Verizon rep said that in the computer, in red it stated: DO NOT PRESS *228. YOU WILL NEED A NEW SIM CARD IF YOU ENTER THIS CODE.

High tier Verizon support guy got mine working, by having me reseat the sim card. I was sure THAT wouldn't work. But it took 45 minutes on the phone after the first guy told me to activate the old way. *228 doesn't work and has been "turned off" by Verizon in this phone. Love the phone. None of the problems reported in other forums.
