$.25 Android apps for the next 5 days.

Is the posting of the daily app selection on Sunday, 30 September the last day of this promotion?

Yes. This would be the fifth and final day of sales. I didn't like how one app rejected my Note saying it was incompatible (even though the free version worked). So I borrowed my Bro's tablet to get it.

I now see the last day list and its quite disappointing. Yesterday it were 14 apps, now only 9?

well atleast I got 3 great apps in these 5 days.

I hope that google and the developers look at the sales numbers (and additionally the positive brand reinforcement and awareness) this promotion generated and think about making this a monthly or weekly event. Something simple like: "First Saturday" they will have five apps on sale for 25 cents.

Or do what Steam does with their Mid-week and weekend sales. And have 'seasonal' blowouts on top of it. Wouldn't it be great if Google implemented something similar?

Well, this sale was pretty cool.
I bought:
Angry Birds Space
Office Suite
HD Widgets
Pool Break Pro
Camera Zoom FX
TuneIn Radio Pro
And today I also grabbed The Dark Knight Rises.

The pool game and the Batman game both have amazing graphics, and both play
great on my tab.
For those who don't as yet use a third party launcher, Nova Prime is one of the sale
apps. I use it and can recommend it very highly.
It was worth the $4 I paid for it.
At a quarter, it's a steal.

Yeah, Nova Launcher Prime is great at this price point. No one should have an excuse not to get it (unless they don't have ICS). I also got it at regular price and consider it money well spent.

Here's my collection:

Sep.26:
  • nothing jumped out at me except for the OfficeSuite, but decided against it
Sep.27:
  • SketchBook Mobile
  • Mini Motor Racing
  • Dungeon Village (for my brother)
  • World of Goo
Sep.28:
  • PicSay Pro (for my brother)
  • ezPDF
Sep.29:
  • Cogs
  • RealCalc Plus
  • Farm Invasion USA
  • Cut the Rope HD (had to jump hurdles to get this one)
Sep.30
  • Guns 'n Glory WW2
  • Great Big War Game
  • The Dark Knight Rises
  • SketchBook Pro (for my brother)
  • Air Control HD (another one I had to jump hurdles for)
I didn't understand why the HD games said it was incompatible with my Note. I had to borrow my brother's tablet to purchase and nab the apk files from there. Then install it on my Note and it works perfectly fine.

Smart Tools is an excellent pickup too. love the distance estimator which uses the camera focus to calculate, besides the other great tools.

I wonder if sketchbook pro would work with a Note
Not really (I tried-bought from tablet and transferred apk to Note). The Autocad logo that flashes when opening is cut at the sides. The side and top tool/menu bars are also not displayed properly on the Note. But from what I can see, there's a very minor difference between the two. The Pro offers better UI access to tools with the side bars without the need to go deeper into the submenus. Also, the menus are set for landscape on the Pro and portrait for the Mobile version.

Hmm thanks. I missed out on the mobile version.

Wishing I could buy Sketchbook Pro at this sale price, but I don't have a tablet yet. Kinda sucks that there's no way to buy an app on your account before you have the device to run it on. I have the mobile version, but would like the tablet one too.

I already had several of them, but I did grab a few new games:
Sudoku
Zombie Smash
Dark Knight Rises

Sudoku is good, Zombie Smash is pretty addictive, and I'm still waiting on DKR to finish downloading. As long as I can play it with my PS3 controller it looks like it will be pretty good.

I really wanted to get Madden 12, but I couldn't since it isn't compatible with my phone :(. I was hoping I could at least buy it to play when I get my new Nexus when the new ones go on sale.

I use Apex but seeing Nova on there for a quarter was a must have. I bought it, set it up and made a back up for a rainy day (if Apex takes a dump with a weird update, etc)

Good stuff. I only bought 2 others in the 5 days but well worth it. Love it

Smart tools its really neat. Worth the quarter for sure.

Btw thanks to the person who suggested app sale. Really cool app

Don't really see myself using smart tools, but with everyone saying it is a great app I just bought it. Figured even if I never use it, it was just 25c

I bought just about all over the past 5 days. Figured why not only a quarter. I'll only use probably 3 or 4.if that but eh :D

The people here convinced me to spring for Smart Tools. It's interesting and could come in handy. The flash light widget is useful allowing me to turn it on with a single tap. The metal detector is a bit tricky. I found that on the SGS3, the metal detector tool must be held with the bottom of the phone pointing away from you. It appears the detector is at the bottom, so I have to hold the phone upside down to use it.

I find it's not that accurate when measuring the height of an object. My friend got it and it didn't measure the doorway properly. I tried it on my phone and also found some inaccuracies.

I wonder how much money these developers are making these past few days. Certainly they are getting much publicity right now. I certainly wouldn't have bought any of these apps had they not been on sale right now.
