Help 3 hour drop call

Any one (that talks on the phone for long periods) find that at exactly 3 hours it drops and ends the call? I have had calls drop a numerous amount of times and realized tonight that they all had one thing in common. They all dropped at exactly 3 hours. Why does it do this and is there any way to remove that "govener"? I am on LDriftas T3 but this also happened on GSE but I wasn't on stock long enough to know if it happens on it too but guessing it does hence why I'm posting on this side of the tracks ;)

What you have is a theory that needs to be further tested the most ive been on the phone is 2 hours and 30 min. the phone does get a lil warm dunno if your does too might be a reason why call drops not sure just another theory. i just checked our phone specs i remember it being for 3hours of talk time and whatever for stand by time so you might be on something, i assumed the talk time was low beacause of the battery life but maybe its much more than that. its saying 3.5 hours of talk time on the metro page so dunno maybe its programmed to be that way?

I've never gone that long on my esteem but back then when I had the samsung messager and freeform it would always cut off around 3 hours after talking in the phone.

Cool to the touch and about 40% left last night. As far as I understand 3.5 hours is the amount of talk time for the battery. Which on T3 I got over 5. Wednesday night I had looked at my phone during the call and it was at about 2 hours and 50 minutes and 10 minutes later it dropped. Then last night I had looked at it and it just hit 2 hours and 58 minutes and literally 2 minutes later it dropped

This same thing happens to me. Every night. Exactly 3 hours pass, and the call drops. Its really obnoxious. Maybe its on Metro's end.

same here on rooted abd non rooted esteem call end around 3hrs of talk time

Happened to me as well. Even on the ascend when I was talking to someone it would hang up at 3 hours.

Just happened to me. I'm always on the phone with my girl and on the call logs I check the time spent and they all say 186 minutes 3hrs 6 minutes. UGH!!! Oh and it makes a weird beeping noise after call drops. My battery was charging at 92% when it dropped

Maybe it's something Metro does just to make sure you are actually on the phone? Like you didn't make a call, leave the phone on the kitchen counter and walk away?

Or accidentally butt-dialed your phone? Might be something they do to make sure someone isn't accidentally tying up their network resources.

Yea thats actually the conclusion Ive come to. I mean I cant think of any other reason but that reason on why it would drop at 3 hours. I mean its really not a big deal to me, at first I just thought the call was dropping (which kind of annoyed me) but then once I realized the whole 3 hour thing it made more sense I guess you could say and know exactly when its gonna happen.

MAN!! i was going to make a thread about this! i've noticed this for the past week because me and my girl fall asleep together on the phone when she's out of town and she always tells me i hang up on her and i checked my call logs and have noticed the same thing around 3 hrs! it's annoying and was wondering the same thing! atleast i know im not the only one..

I send/receive between 200-300 texts a day every day. So between 6-9 thousand a month and havent reached any limit or bill increase

My wife talks to her mom overseas for hours never noticed a call drop but then again it feels they talk for hours lol

Me and my friend spam another friend cause he spans us
I think I did 1000 texts a day once on a previous trip.
Also off topic 1x speed isn't that bad compared to 4g

Hm.. I actually send the same if not more amount that shiny sends. Sometimes even 800(I like to troll my friends with spam, can't blame me. Its fun lol).

My phone does this too. When I leave a call on speaker for an hour the speaker automatically cuts off and the person I'm talking too hears a loud disturbing noise lol

Ive been with Metro PCS since 2006, and me and my bestie talk maybe 3 times a month and it never fails when we hit the 3 hour mark the call drops every single time, it never fails! We laugh and joke about the infamous 3 hour dropped call limit! Ive always wonder if anyone else had experienced this! :)
