3 network getting 4g?

I live near Bradford and am regularly in Leeds, two of the cities that is meant to have 4G now. It must be dressed like the scarlet Pimpernel because I aint seen it. 4G my arse
 
Do you have a 4G phone? I have a Nexus 4 (no 4G) and of course I see no difference when I'm in Manchester which I know has working 4G - for those with a 4G phone. that is.

Sorry if it seems an obvious question but it's easy to miss the obvious sometimes :-)
 
It's a shame that 4g phones come out long before infrastructure is all set up. It's also a shame that the old UK analogue TV bands (together with the other frequencies) aren't all owned by one entity & we just get billed by our chosen companies, like water gas & electric, no it all gets carved up so that even today, some people miss out. One company should own all the infrastructure & signal & companies should subscribe, there could even be a control centre like the national grid controlling power to the peak locations.

I'm also a bit miffed that data on 2g has been scaled right back, GPRS appears to be unusable today & I think there is still a market for 'basic' phones with WAP, some people still want small & basic, so providing greater choice (not just smartphones) & spreading data over old & current infrastructure might relieve pressure on demand for 3g / 4g!

What we need is consistency across the whole country & we should be getting it with the old UK wide TV frequencies but we're not. The mobile operators care only about their slice of the cake whilst disregarding the size of the whole cake!
