Root 3 UK Rooting Question

Hi Guys,
recently i've been assigned the task of rooting an old HTC desire HD on 3 uk currently running gingerbread(2.3.5 Software Number 3.13.771.2). I have read through numerous threads and guides on this topic however i wasn't too sure if i found what i wanted. Could any one tell me step by step what i'am required to do root and install custom rom on the above phone.

Hi there!


I believe you can use the Advanced Ace Hack Kit found in the All Things Root sticky.

Just install, disable anti virus and follow the "effen manual" to a T.

Should you come into any trouble, come back and someone here should be able to help.

you should disable windows defender and firewall..and antivirus of course..make sure to read manual, read all...it's very easy to root it

I would recommend you do it using a Ubuntu 32 bit Live CD or use a Mac. Most of those who have problems when running AAHK have done it on Windows.
