Help 3 way calling (conference calling)

How do you do a 3 way call on the LG Optimus V on Virgin Mobile's network?
Step by step instructions please.

The general comments I found for other smart-phones and the way the Motorola Razr do it don't work.

Example of what doesn't work:
1) dial a call and hit send,
2) then dial another call and hit send - This part doesn't work because you don't get the option to hit send the second time around.

Is 3 way calling possible on VM network and if so how do you do it with the LG Optimus V? The phones manual does not mention how to do 3 way calling (at least not that I can find).

No -according to his FAQ by someone on Howard Forums:

The only way I've seen to do it is via a third-party app like Tikl...which all users must have on their phones...it functions like a walkie-talkie.
