Help 30-40% battery drain at night

Hi
I am using unlocked Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F model for 1 year.
It working fine. But for 3-4 months I cannot keep my phone on overnight.
It drains battery to 30%-40%. I have tried all possible solution like:
1. kept brightness to minimum
2. wifi, mobile data, bluetooth kept off
3. stopped unwanted services like FB, Sfinder, etc from App manager.
I mean all possible options.

It shows that Phone radio and network are draining my batter (as shown in attached images)
Also how can screen brightness drain battery when kept idle screen locked mode overnight? (as shown in attached images)
Please Help.
I have attached screenshots when I found 69% battery remaining in the morning (kept at 100% at night)

Note 1: During day battery performs normally even with wifi and data
Note 2: Even when kept in ultra power saving mode overnight it drains around 20% battery

Thanks
Ankit

Hello!
You state it drains 30-40% overnight....as in, just over 7 hours it goes from 100% to 69%?
Your signal looks good, your awake time looks good, your screen on looks fine...
Honestly, it looks good to me :)
And in your, "Note 2: Even when kept in ultra power saving mode overnight it drains around 20% battery" I don't think that's too terrible?

What did your phone drain used to be back before the 3-4 months?

In answer to this, "Also how can screen brightness drain battery when kept idle screen locked mode overnight?"
I can only surmise the screen is waking up for some reason :o Not sure what to offer you on that one.

Try installing autostart manager app from the playstore and disable all the apps which are enable and enable which u use frequently like Whatsapp,Fb,etc,...
If ur rooted ur mobile:-
Download greenify app and follow the given app instruction
Root/non-root:-
GOTO settings>about> click “build number” several times until u get the toast "you are a developer"..
If it came..GOTO developer option and change the settings like
Animation, transistion, window animation to “0.5” and feel the battery status....these all steps can help u to save 50%...even I follow this steps..and in overnight I got only 1% drain due to carrier

If data and WiFi are off I do think that's too much drain. But phone radio is only 24% of the power used, i.e. 7.5% out of 30%. It clear that the 20 minutes the screen was on were the main drain, and nothing was holding the phone awake. So it would have been good to tap on the app usage number in GSam to find out what apps were responsible.

BTW you say you tried data & WiFi off, but WiFi was clearly on during that test. If that's on then apps that want to use it will do so, so that must surely be contributing (indeed WiFi itself does show up as a drain here).

But how is this possible that WiFi turned on automatically? Or the screen? Please help me as this issue :(
Is it something related to wakelock? How can I check as my phone is not rooted.

I suspect it may be that and I agree that sort of drain or even half that overnight is far too much.

GSam Battery Monitor - tap the Hoover at the bottom to get to the apps list (or the line that says app usage) - App power sucker screen - tap the top, view time held awake and number of times waking device.

If Android system is the big culprit, that's misleading - Facebook will beat your battery to death but everything it does gets assigned to the system.

So once you the time-based list, tap each app you're not sure about for details.

Wakelocks are easy to spot in GSam.

Graph, Others tab on far right, hold your phone in landscape (sideways) for better view. Zoom in or out as needed.

You should not have an active bar when the screen is off - just occasional blips for email syncing for example, same thing for GPS.

Your built-in power graph doesn't show any such problems.

Frankly - I don't trust it. I've been fooled by mine before.

By a little zooming in with the GSam graph, if you have a wakelock problem, it'll pop out visually - time that your graph is showing not active may instead show a lot of very short, constant wakeups.

See if that helps any.

And let's see your list of apps please from the time awake display in GSam.

We had someone within the last two days who traced his wifi turning on even though he did everything to turn it off to one of the security apps with a "find my phone" feature. Not sure which one - maybe Lookout? Anyway, check if you're using something like that.

Try autostart manager from playstore and disable all apps....try it once and reply me..I hope this will help.

But thats just a workaround mate not a solution :p
what to do in case I need to set an alarm for early morning when the phone is off
It causes zero harm to your battery to keep it plugged in and powered on overnight.
I know its a band-aid but it's what I do every night

Try this,.. It really helps me to save battery, these steps are effective for me, I hope this steps will help you....

U might want to include an app like DU battery saver if U havent already wich from the sound of it suggests not. Anywho theres an option within its settings to automattically shut network off when screens off & bck on when U click to get youre hompage up. If Im missunderstanding ur issue I apologize bra.

You mean the same DU Battery Saver that uses adware and even more dubious methods to distribute itself? It may just be me, but that type of thing tends to put me off an app.

The OP's problem isn't data, except that it seems that WiFi is coming on despite attempts to turn it off. But if I wanted to automate something like turning data off when the screen is off (which has obvious downsides!) or just on a time sequence I'd personally use something like Tasker, Llama or MacroDroid.

Aparently apps can no longer turn off data with screen off in lollipop mate. Do you know anything about this?
It was the Macrodroid fan "AZ" something (i cant ever remember his name) who was told by the developer
(not sure if this also applies to rooted devices, doubt it)

So in developer options if I set animation transition values to its lowest possible setting is it possible that it might help save me a lil battery life?
