With the 30 day trial almost up who will keep there Tab or return it ? I see talk of 4G tablets coming in 2011 and now its got me thinking of returning it plus I'm in a two year contract with sprint for the Tab so now do I return it before the 30 days and wait for the 4G Tab's ?

You'll play this game all the time.

With tech, especially us early adopters, there is always a new and better device coming around the corner. Of course, when companies say "March" they usually mean September (Notion Ink ADAM comes to mind).

If you're not happy with the tab then yes, return it. If you're happy with the tab but already looking to the future and waiting for the 4g or the tab with the SAMOLED screen or the IPAD 2, then I say keep it.

Cuz you know when the 4g tab's come out, something even better will appear on the distant horizon--maybe a tablet with a 250gb SSD or a 2GHZ processor or someting that brags of having Andriod 4.0.

There is always someting coming.

Also, I find it hilarious that the tab was out for less than a month and EVERY other company has been announcing a new tablet that is better and gives you ten reasons NOT to go with the Samsung but to go with theirs.

No doubt many more devices are coming. Watch the many announcements at CES in Jan.
Over the next couple years the market will be flooded with tablets.

Samsung did pretty good job with this early one.
The poor camera and lack of HD video stands out as something to be improved.

If your not sure about it now probably best to return it while you have that option.
I think the demand and resale value of the early GT may drop once next gen devices are announced.

One thing unique about it is the phone, if yours is activated.
I dont think we will see many 7" devices with a phone.

When they release a new device, all advertising is intended to put inside your brain the idea that you current phone weak and stupid. But 95% of what you do on your phone can be very good done on a much older android phone. Maybe it is worth to pay 100$ extra for 5-10% in performance, but it is worth to wait 6 months ?

As stated above, new devices are out all the time. It can become a never ending waiting game.

Wait for something better than the Tab, when that comes out there will be rumor of something better than that. When it comes out, there will be rumor of another.

Rinse, lather, rinse and repeate.....

Get what you want and be happy.... Something better is always right around the corner. This holds true for anything electronic, phones, tablets, TV, headphones, cameras, gps, ect.....

I just returned mine. Too many new ones coming out within a few months, including dual core ones.

Same here I just returned mine today, I was not feeling the 2 year contract and in a year the Tab will be out of date so for now Ill stick with my iPad tethered to my Evo for free.

I guess I am not understanding the thought process here. Phones are out of date just as fast,, if not quicker, yet people have no problem buying them on contract.

By the time a 2 year contract is up on a phone its ready for a museum......

I totally agree. I had the usual buyers remorse when I bought the tab looking at all the rumors of dual core tabs and what not. Then I stumbled across a couple of people who got the viewsonic Tegra2 which has a dual core proccesor. One of them had the galaxy tab and said that the galaxy was WAY WAY ahead of where the viewsonic tab is, even though the viewsonic is dual core not single core.

We have to remember that since dual core is new most if not all apps wont utilize that second core at all and it will end up eating battery more than it does to help with apps. Samsung has a great product and they have done a lot to optimize the A8 processor. Dont be fooled by shiny new dual cores :D.

Now granted the dual cores will end up being better eventually but I think its further off than we are anticipating.

Also I bought my tab out of contract and my phone in contract. The reason I think people buy phones in contract is becuase they are $550 without one and $150 with one, which is a massive $400 price break.
If you look at the galaxy tab it was $600 no contract, $400 with contract. For only a $200 dollar price break a contract isnt worth it for the tab (in my opinion)
