Verizon rep just told me that even for grand fathered unlimited data customers, the tether addition of $20 only gives you 2G per month ?

That's what I too was told initially, but several people have been able to add $30/month unlimited MBBC/MHS and it is prorated if you only need it a couple daya at time.
