32 GB Upgrade

I recently ordered a Nexus 7 (didn't even come yet) and I read a rumor that if you order now that they're upgrading to the 32 GB version for the same price. Anyone else hear this? I guess I'll see tomorrow or so.
 
I haven't heard of anything like that since they haven't announced the 32gb yet. But I'm pulling for you! I'd say if you get the 16gb, return it and wait for the 32gb

Don't know if I'll be able to wait that long lol. Hopefully there's a lengthy return policy. If so I'll play with mine and then return and get the 32!
 
32gig device is supposed to be announced Oct 29th but it's been leaked...

16gig is being dropped to $199 32gig will be $249 and if they are continuing it the 8gig will be $159 if memory serves. You can't currently buy the 8gig on the play store.
 
My local Staples says they go on-sale Monday. I returned my 16GB version last Sunday. It's not a myth but a done-deal as far as I'm concerned.

I'm betting 8 gig gets phased out entirely
 
That is the word on the rumor mill, and would make the most sense.
Should be able to get some very good deals on 8GB models in retail in the near future then :)

Japanese Customer Accidently Receives 32GB Nexus 7

There's been reports like that one from the US also.
 
Local Staples said last night they have the 32GB model in stock and can start selling them today. Waiting for them to open...
 
I doubt if you order a 16GB Nexus 7 that they are going to upgrade you for free. We don't even have pricing yet, but I don't see how it could be the same price as the 16GB. Google and Asus are already on razor thin margins. Unless they reused all the parts from the 16GB's that were sent back? LOL.
 
I saw on XDA where a guy returned the 16BG N7 that he had just bought and got the 32GB N7. Was a straight-up trade, 32GB was priced as Drogyn listed above. Poster even had a photo of his Staples trade-in receipt so it's for real.

It will be release on Monday, most retailer already have it on stock but they can;t sell it until monday.

You can find it online on staples and office depot already.

just exchange it when its arrive, or if you can't wait, just get the new one from one retailer and return the one you got online.
 
Yes, it's the same price - I've got one on order from Office Depot. They confirmed that they've got more than enough of them but have to hold them until Monday.
 
They stopped the $25 credit last month I believe. I signed in and got it a few days before the promotion ended
 
I just got the 32gb today. Best buy didn't put them on shelves so I went to futureshop intending to get the 16gb and the guy there tells me we can get the 32gb. There's no 25 dollar credit but you still get the transformer movie. This thing is great.
 
I just want clarification. Is it friggin 7" or 10"?????

Hearing both. I WANNA KNOW! :confused::confused:
10" device isn't for me but would run out and stand in line like an Apple junkie for a 7" Nexus 32GB tablet.

32 GB nexus 7 but they are also introducing a nexus 10 that's 10"
 
Well now they have "cancelled" the event in NY on monday due to hurricane Sandy.
Will this affect the date that the devices go on sale? Would hope not but having a "press release" event AFTER the device goes on sale?

That would be a little pointless

Est'd retail is $3.79 to $4.29... outside my impulse buying range. Besides, I don't use the two tablets I already have (HP Touchpad, N7) and my wife has two more that get little use (HP Touchpad, Nook Color). Maybe if I dumped the TP's on Craigs List I could justify buying one. Those Touchpads are sooo heavy.
