3250Ah Battery

Hi there, New to Android so please be gentle!

I bought a Note about 2 weeks ago and am loving it, but 3 days ago my battery went from 100% to about 20% in one morning. Previously it was lasting the whole day and then some!
Anyway, I have turned off Auto Sync, turned the screen brightness down, disabled wifi when in the office and all this seems to have sorted the problem, but I cant help feeling that I'm not getting the best of the phone with these features switched off.
So I came accross the 3250Ah battery on ebay. Its exactly the same physical size as the stick battery but claims much longer usage time.
My question is has anyone on the forums tried it and could it cause a problem to the sensitive electronics of the phone?

Thanks for the advice in advance!!

maybe you have installed a battery hogger app try to identify it. why bother buying an after market battery if your phone used to perform satisfactory previously

Usually it will not cause a problem with the phond in normal use but may be one of the batteries that explode when charging. The cheaper ones tend to skip some safety circuitry. More likely though is that you will buy this battery and find that lasts less time than the original battery. Generally if it is possible to fit more charge into the same space a company like Samsung would probably do just that.

I would therefore tend to agree with isrijo. Track down what is using the power and minimise its use. Probably WiFi or cell data are the main culprits although it could be an application or sometimes even the OS.

Take a look in settings under about phone -> battery usage to find out who the main power burner is.

Hope this helps...

Regards,
Eric Ritchie.
