360 Slim

There are plenty of sources of complains about iPod sound quality and lousy build quality, most consumers are woo'd over pretty coloured plastic casings, fake advertising full of "sequence shorted" and "enhanced graphics" rather than technical factors like SnR and texture quality.

And that report came out in 2010. I don't see your point.... Since 2008 Firefox has had over double the vulnerabilities discovered than IE (which is also a heap of garbage, but nowehere near as bloated or insecure as Firefox).

What you clearly can't comprehend is how something that sells can be crap. The truth of course is that quality and marketshare have no correlation at all.

Consumers buy whatever they see on TV, or what the mainstream media portray as fashionable at the moment. A very large swathe of consumers are mass-market idiots.

That was in 2008 though. You can clearly see that the amount from 2008-2009 has reduced by a rather decent amount. I can only imagine the amount dropping much more from 2009-2010. Especially being that the Mozilla team works on the issues within a 24 hr timeframe, what is there really to complain about since they get it patched up and fixed in such short time?

You are correct by stating that a majority of consumers buy whatever they see on TV but that's just a majority. The majority isn't all and it certainly is not me, nor many other techies out there. I do my research for every electronic product I intend to purchase before I actually perform the action of doing so. That's the proper way things should be done.

My first mp3 player was a Zune and I loved it. I received a iPod mini for Christmas one year and I loved it. Why? It served all the functions that I needed at the time plus my Zune died on me and I didn't want to go through all the trouble of having it repaired. I personally would never purchase any Apple product but that's just me. We logically cannot deem the item terrible if it sells (and they DO sell by the massive f**k ton).

Had my first encounter w/ the 360 slim yesterday @ a friend's house.. I must say that I'm pretty impressed - the touch sensitive buttons respond well and the fan is very quiet (as is the console now in general although it was never much of an issue to me). The 250GB HDD is a wonderful addition. Unfortunately as we all expected, it collects a buttload of fingerprints and dust due to the new casing.

I would give it a 8 out of 10 if I had to rate it on a scale from 1-10.

I dropped 7 games on the hard drive and when i drop the disc in to play them it just verifies the disc is in then loads from the hard drive, cant even hear the thing at all. dust and fingerprints are a def issue though, lol.

also dunno if your question earlier was answered but the sync button for controllers is not touch sensitive.

:)

Just means we need too nurse our slim! :p I don't mind cleaning it up, when I clean my room quiet often! :D
