So is there a way to get 360 degree rotation on a rooted Eris without having to flash a new ROM? I just rooted my phone a couple days ago by flashing Engtools3 and now I'm overclocked to 768 and I'd really like to keep my phone the way it is. Is there an .apk I can install to do this or is it only a ROM capability?
 
Seems like it is a tricky thing. I'd suggest maybe talking to Andrizoid since his rom has it. See what it took to get it working.
