I guess I hope its Sprint singling out the elite on their network by ESN bank and not the Elite having a flaw, but maybe I'm blind to it being a design flaw which limits the eventual fix of such an awesome phone.

To my surprise, LG accepts messages through a form on their support page, where you can specify the device and send them an inquiry. https://wws.lg.com/us/support/message-customer-support
I sent this. Maybe we should carpet bomb them to see if they investigate?

Is there going to be a radio update for this phone? There are countless reports of problems with it being stable on 3G, when a non LG or other LG model phone in the same area doesn't have problems on the same cellular network.

The Elite has been a nightmare to most people in the 3G data functionality and I hope LG maybe can shed some light on the topic. The Sprint/Virgin carriers don't seem to have a handle on it and only replace the phone time after time and then eventually give people a different model and that fixes it.

I'm in South Jersey (fairly rural) and my speeds are generally good. Usually my Elite is faster than my wife's iPhone 4s, both on VM. I'm getting a OV from VM tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if it performs better than my Elite.

Did anyone else send LG a message? Someone sent me back something already that they'll check with the people who would know, but I think if more people inquire it would have better luck.

Noticed for at least two days now the Elite is out of stock on both Virgin and Sprints websites.
