Help 3G/4G Toggle?

If there is no 4G in my area should I switch to cdma only ? Does it make a difference ?

If there's no LTE/4G in your area, then there's no reason NOT to switch to CDMA-only. Otherwise, your phone will waste a lot of battery trying to find a 4G tower.

As far as a one-click toggle, that isn't possible on Verizon Android phones (rooted phones are another matter). There may be a way to hack the system and do it in one-click, but that would risk screwing up the phone.

I downloaded the app, but I get 9 different options when I click on "Preferred Network Type (WCDMA preferred, GSM only, WCDMA only, CMDA auto (PRL), Global Mode, CDMA+LTE/EvDo auto, GSM + LTE/WCDMA auto, Global LTE mode and LTE mode (w/voice)). Any way I can limit the options?

The only ones you need are
1. CMDA auto (PRL) - (3G only)
2. CDMA+LTE/EvDo auto - (Switches between 3G & 4G) Unfortunately, mine tends to search for 3G first and I sometimes have to go to LTE mode to get it into 4G to start with, then switch back.
3. LTE mode (w/voice) - (4G only, but will go to 1x if it drops 4G)

Those are still the main setting on my Thunderbolt, but there are more choices on the Rezound. Maybe it has something to do with having Sense 3.5. They my be adding more settings for those with Global phones.

I found a toggle for this already on the phone- it's just under widgets.
Hold down on any screen > Widget > Settings > Mobile Network.

Hope this is what you wanted.
