Help 3g connection

I've been happy with my V, especially for $25 month... but one thing that bothers me... Sometimes when I try to connect to the internet it keeps loading and loading until it times out. Now when it does that I go to settings and uncheck data enabled and then recheck it to enable data... then I can connect. Has anyone else experienced this? suggestions?
 
I have the same problem but i just click airplane mode then unclick it and i can connect , i also do that when my 3g disappears randomly to get it to show back up
 
It has gotten a LOT better than it was a month or two ago. The best method so far is to toggle Airplane mode, like @Linux215 said.

It really bogs down during afternoon rush hour 5-7pm. We VM folks are thinking that maybe they favor the Sprint people over the VM people during times of heavy usage.

What can you do? For $25--it ain't half bad service.

Did you know that VM added over 800,000 NEW subscribers in the month that the Optimus came out??
 
I agree with Linux215 and blmbmj, but I also think we should keep up the pressure on Virgin Mobile to fix this issue. We're paying for a 3G data connection, and that's exactly what we should get, whenever we want it. The fact that we're paying less than other carriers charge for this service (even factoring in the hidden cost of a "free" phone when under contract) is irrelevant. I happen to think we're paying a fair price, whereas contract customers are just getting snowed.
 
I too utilize toggling airplane mode to restore connectivity. I am perfectly willing to live with this for $25 a month. But I do hope they fix it.

That said, i was previously a Sprint customer and can say both ping and throughput were better on my Touch Pro with Sprint.
