Well we know Virgin operates off of the Sprint network, and this phone is also on Sprint and I don't think those customers are having this issue. They really need to get this problem fixed ASAP because it seems to be a widespread problem and not just a few isolated incidents. Maybe if enough people complain something will get done.

If you checkout the VM fan page on facebook you'll see plenty of people complaining about this, myself included. Virgin Mobile USA | Facebook

The Sprint fan page has the same complaints but not in the same amount, nor as, trollish as some of the VM comments.

I had 3G problems for a week. Last night about 10 to midnight I got a text from virgin saying my 3G had been reset, and take the battery out and restart the phone. Since then I haven't had any issues (other than it going to 1X from time to time).

VM is saying on their FB page their is an outage affecting the android phones and they're working on it etc etc....whether that's true or not remains to be seen.

I'm beginning to lose hope. I had a couple more data drops today. So I called back the technical support # they gave me. It was a direct line to the folks they escalated it to last time. The guy said he could reset my data again, but didn't know what else to do. He did ask me to go into mobile networks settings and verify that mobile data enabled was checked
Anyway he reset my data again and said he put a note on my account to escalate it further up to some higher level, so that they can start investigating a more permanent fix. He said he reset it, and then asked to turn off the phone, remove battery for 30 secs, and turn back on. Did so, had data. Went into the other room. Came back ten minutes later, now no data. AARGH!

I know it is frustrating as hell. What I don't understand is that these phones were on Sprint months before Virgin got them and if Sprint customers had problems they should of had this taken care of before releasing them to Virgin mobile. This phone is also offered by PCS mobile, which also uses Sprint network, wonder how those customers over there are doing.

after having this phone for 10 days i am now beginning to have the data problem so... if anyone has that escalations dept number handy that would be great
