3g disappeared

Just got the phone 3 days ago , dont use Wifi. My 3g just disappeared and the icon is gone. Been like this about 16 hours now. Shut phone off and on. Turned mobile data on and off and on, to no avail. Really dont know what to do , any help is appreciated, thank you.

Is the symbol just not showing up or is it that you can't get any service?
If the symbol isn't there then that's just aesthetics. Check the signal bars and if they are not closed out with a no smoking sign type symbol and you can still make calls then you're ok.
If its your actual service that isnt working i would contact VZW tech support.

Are you near any 4G areas to see if 4G works? Or maybe someone else you know with a VZ 4G phone with a microSIM that you can try out?

Background: I live in 3G and work in 4G, and the second month I had my Strat, I had an issue where 3G just up and completely stopped working, but 4G worked, and so did calls and texts. Replacing the SIM card solved the problem for me and its been fine ever since.

Nowhere near 4g. I guess I have to call VZW tech support

This happened to me as well right after I got the phone a month ago. I had to reset the phone, and I haven't had a problem with the 3G or 4G since.
