Root 3g drops

After installing shabbymod 0.6 my 3g drops. And I kinda get mad because at times I want to check my email real quick or do something that requires 3g. Because my 3g never used to drop....But then again...When I had my intercept in my house I would lose 3g but at some times it will work all weeks. So I don't know what to do

I honestly see no reason for 3g dropping other then your service area. Root is just placing one file on to the phone and giving it permissions, it does not touch anything else. My 3G works great at some times, but also sucks sometimes. It's been like this since I got my phone, and worked that way on my last phone. You're insane

I'm probably is just insane but a friend of my (virgin mobile) Had 3G on his optimus v (when I had the intercept it was doing the same thing that my prevail is doing...
