3g firmware update fails

i have had some problemswith the firmwareupdate with 3g... every time i try to update it tells me there is no udate avalible... I've tried it both before updating over kies to 2.3.4 and to 2.3.5.

anyone know a solution to this... cause I really want to get rid of that horrible kies

My problem is worse....whenever I try to update via OTA it always displays "Connection failed".
