Help 3G/Full Bars...until I dial a call?

Has anyone had this problem? My Droid will show I have 3G and full bars of service or you know, enough bars of service for good reception, until I click the green phone to make a call (actually dial). Then it suddenly jumps down to 1x and 1 bar? Maybe the 3G speed isn't important, but my phone calls are cutting out...as soon as I hang up it returns to full bars and 3G.

It doesn't happen everywhere though. Any thoughts? It's weird and annoying.

Try updating your baseband.

BEcause when you make a phone call. it automatically turns off the 3g. Its not like at&t where you can surf the internet and talk on the pghone at the same time. its normal what your phone is doing. everyone on Verizon their phone does the same thing. Even my droid.
