Help 3G not working, only 1x?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone had an idea how to fix this.

I can't seem to get mobile data on my phone. I use the VirginMobile MyAccount app help section, and I fail the data test. I tried to check the APN settings, but when I go to:

Settings > Wireless & Network >More Settings> Mobile Networks

I only have two options:
Mobile Data on/off
Connections optimizer: on/off

PS: I'm definitely within coverage

This happened to me once and I went to settings, activate and that fixed it.

Thanks dobbs! Seems like it helped, now I get a 3G icon now and I can get the browser to work on the 3G network. Still, somehow it doesn't work in any other application... I'll keep looking and post a solution when found.

Calling VM customer service is the last thing I'd try.😴
 
I have 3G now!

So apparently my phone had never asked me to install the mobile ID pack..

I don't know why would it work but here's what I did:
Wifi off
restart phone
run VM activate app
(the app restarts the phone afte it's done)
3G!:D
pop up message asking to install mobile id pack.....
