Root 3G not working

My 3G stopped working yesterday. I wasn't doing anything to the phone, i just turned off my wifi and the 3G will not come up. I've rebooted, removed the battery all of the usual. Should I unroot? or?

Have you tried updating your data profile?
(Settings > system update > update profile)

Have you checked to make sure that the 3G hasn't been turned off?
