Help 3g on/off

I have a service plan that includes Canada for phone service but not internet. Is there some way to turn off the 3g service to my Droid X while I'm in Canada so that I don't incurr roaming charges.

I've asked the same question. The only answer I found was to download any cut. Tap create shortcut. select activity. Still down to phone info. tap ok to create the widget. Click the new widget, where it says set preferred network, choose cdma only

there's plenty of widgets you can download from the market. extended controls includes a data switch.
