Hey. My 3G just quit working randomly, and I've been through the whole thing with Virgin trying to get it to work. Done a factory reset, etc, all of the fun stuff, and it won't work. Trying to reactivate the phone or update the profile leads to an error saying "Connection Error". I'm on a wait with Virgin, so I wanted to know if there was any way to fix this issue on my own. Thanks.

I wonder what would happen if you tried updating it while you had a wifi connection?
That wouldn't work since the profile has to do with Virgin Mobile's infrastructure. 3g/4g is the only way to do it.

have them restart your monthly plan happened to me before and after 2 hours on the phone they did that and it was fixed

Same here, since the infamous system "update" numerous people have been experiencing this issue, especially after your monthly plan restarts. It presents in different ways, for me I have full network access except I couldn't send emails, despite flashing back to a stock based rom to update my profile, nothing worked until they reset my account on their end.
