Being a noob, I didn't know that the Desire HD could not officially support American 3G. After I realized this, the return date had passed. A week later, the HTC Inspire 4g was announced.
Will rooting my phone allow me to change the frequencies of the phone so I can use 3g?
This is the exact question i would like to know the answer too. Im moving over to the states within the next 6 months and would like to keep my DHD but i would like it to work on t-mobile USA's 3G network.
If you got an answer elsewhere could you answer this?
i have a feeling you won't be able to do that because the hardware is different. You should be able to use it up to Edge speeds though. But i could be wrong.
