Root 3G Speeds?

Hey guys curious; what's the highest download speed you've gotten in Speed Test app for this phone on 3G? Most ppl get crap for speeds. I'm on latest radio, and just scored a 2.3mb download speed. :)
 
You must be on wimax, Sprint 3G is the crappiest of all phone companies. I think the highest anybody can get is a little bit over 1MB.
 
Pretty consistent as to the speeds I achieve every day on 3g. I'm also in a basement a floor underground as I ran these tests. Obviously it will vary during peak hours and my location, but I've seen speeds over 2mb/s on 3g alone.

3G usually does suck but this is the best phone I've had and my 3G is always above 1mb at least. I wish I were on 4G! I haven't even gotten to use it because the closest signal area for it is about 70 miles away. xD
 
3g is abysmal. It is even worse than dial up on sprint / vm. The highest I ever got was 1mb a second. I usually get 100 kbps to 300kbps on GOOD DAYS... :banghead::mad::banghead::mad:
 
Here's my 3g, there's no 4g here. For what it's worth, on stock, I was getting about 30kbps...

I haven't got to use my phone in my wimax covered home town yet. For some reason my speeds got much faster once I got rid of my htc sense rom for MIUI. maybe placebo effect. Every test I had while on sense was 330ms with 300 kb down.

Tell me what download speeds do you guys get with dolphin browser HD. It says the download speed when downloading a item.
 
you all are lucky haha my 3G drops to 1x even with the 3D fix and as for the 4G it's good when I get it but in NJ there's only so many towers. BTW do your phones drop 4G after 10min or so even when you're in the same place?
 
My phone drops 4G after 0 milliseconds lol. I don't have 4G Wimax at all in my area, but 4G LTE(Sprint) should be coming by the latest of late March. At&t has 4G though -__-. Oh and speedtest need to fix their units, change kb to kB/KB; big difference.

is there a way to change the timeout? I remember reading something about an APN method but idk :confused:
 
Are you talking about 4G? If you are, then there isn't a timeout on 4G only WiFi(in certain cases). Wimax is higher frequency signal, so it gets blocked easily so you might notice signal interference here and there in the same spot.
 
On my Optimus V I would get steady 2mbps in my house the entire time I owned it. This phone I don't think has ever gotten 1mbps.

Certain parts of my house, my 4g will get 10-15mbps but 99% of the time it won't get 1mbps either.
