Help 3G spontaneously cuts out

I've been noticing that the 3G for my Triumph occasionally cuts out to 1x in areas where I know I have 3G access. This is especially annoying when I'm driving using the GPS. Anyone else ever deal with this?

There is an issue with the radios in the MT that cause data to drop to 1X if GPS is being used. This used to annoy me to no end because it would inevitably happen while I was trying to either search in Maps or turn on traffic data. I think this is what you are seeing. Also, almost any phone I've had on any carrier will periodically drop from 3g/4g to 1X- don't really know why, but it happens.
