Help 3G stops working

On the X my connecton stops working and I have to do a battery pull to get it to work again. Airplane mode and back didn't help. Any ideas?
 
that happens to me sometimes. i have an app called QuickSettings and i toggle 3g on and off and that usually fixes it
 
This doesn't sound normal, at least I do not experience this. I do drop wifi after a certain period of time, noticed while running slacker. Gets REALLY annoying.
