Root 4.0.2.A.0.62 help?

is it possible to root the 4.0.2.A.0.62 build?, and if so how do I go about doing so?

all i want is to get rid of pre installed apps and use gamekeyboard.

thanks in advance

i don't think you can root it directly yet. there was a post in a thread over at xda which allows you to keep root if you have a locked bootloader. i was going to post it here but i cannot find it again. it worked for me though. i have 2.3.4 with root. basically. you have to use flashtool to go back to 2.3.3. after you do that, download the update then when it asks you to install the update pick 'remind me later'. you then root the phone again using the superoneclick zergrush method. after you do that then you apply the update. you should still have root after the update installs. the post said to make a nandroid before you do all that to restore your data afterwards. i did not do that. i just restored all my apps with titanium backup instead.

If you do an advanced restore of only data it's much faster than titanium :D

I didnt have to flash to 2.3.3, just used the latest flashtool, plugged my phone in, I then pressed the button under the 'help, drop list and cheaked the drivers, I then pressed the root button (the pad lock) waited 10 secs, done.

Gamekeyboard is awesome btw.

Thanks for ur help guys!
