Hello all,
I have had my phone rooted and was running a custom rom but lost the rom awhile ago and never reinstalled it. My phone has been telling me for awhile that it has an update 4.0.4 for it. How can I tell if I can update this and not brick my phone? Also is this a good update? I mean it doesnt mess up battery life or anything?
-Thanks
E.J.

You'd probably need to provide more info on the ROM you installed for one of the wireheads ;) on here to be able to help.

I would suggest you revert to a stock ROM before you update. I believe there were some issues with 4.0 - you may find that 4.1 or even 4.2 is available now.

Ok, I had the blazer rom before but lost it so now my phone looks like stock. I can give any numbers needed haha I just don't know what ones are needed.

It's better if you unroot before trying out this upgrade, otherwise it's going to error out while installing because of custom recovery since stock recovery is needed for OTA updates.
