how do i update my note2 to the latest update ? its available in our country now ,. but i didnt buy it here ,. how do i know what version is this international one?

EDIT:
oh BTW i plugged it in with KIES but it says already got the latest version or FW

hope for your help guys TIA cheers :D

Usually how you can update your phone to the latest Android version is by going to Settings>Software Update>Check New and following the steps.

looks like yours aint ready.
I normally do it OTA but this time it wouldnt do it OTA. Had to use kies. What a pile of crap that is. Kept hanging, looked like I was using a pc from 10 yrs ago slow as a snail.
Anyway its on now on but battery isnt as good as 4.1.2. May be a calibration issue and hope it settles down.

Envied Samsung and Android for years and finally get a Note 2 in December and they have their first major screw up after I get a phone

4.1.2 update...how NOT to update....
probably be a more appropriate thread title? :smokingsomb:

What is wrong with 4.1.2? My battery hasnt changed at all and I have had zero issues.

I was a bit worried about it after reading some of the reports on here, notably the wifi issue, but mine's been fine since the update! *touches wood*

see?? i WANT to update someday,.. maybe other users can give some tips or advice who already updated their phones or encoutered any issues with it,..

anyways my problem is still the same i still dont know how to update my phone

OTA or KIES dosent give me any notifications or update for latest FW :(

Same here, no problems.
I think the safest thing to do (which has been mentioned in these forums a lot) is back everything up, do a factory reset (I turned it off then used vol up, power and home buttons) then do the update, that way there are no incompatible apps to cause problems, also this way if there are problems you will know its not your apps, it's the new firmware.
