Help 4.1.2 update

Well that's lousy, haven't run into that problem.

Sorry just found out that smart rotation and smart stay leaves the icon on, turn both off and the icon is gone.

I'm on AT&T, lost root after yesterday's update. Maybe that's what the update is, some sort of "security" patch?

hehe... first notification i do the installation, then got the 4.1.2 update... then i do the second time... still 4.1.2, then this third time im ignoring this unless someone will tell me not to ignore...

Sounds weird, are you with Sprint? If not they're a few updates with other providers.... security patches and such. Do you see any difference? Are the details of the update the same when you get notification?

I haven't had a rooted phone that retained root after an OTA update. So loosing root is expected. Knowing that always check first to see if root has either been obtained for the new update prior to installing it or check if previous root method can be reapplied.

I must admit; I'm becoming increasingly pissed off that the internation version BTU in the UK seems to have been forgotten about. As usual, no-one at Samsung has an answer; useless sods.

Phone no longer said no update but wouldnt let me do it anyway basically saying wait my turn so doing it through kies instead now.

Success. Took about an hour over Kies for my unbranded UK Note 2.


Now just need to work out if anything is messed up or settings ruined.

Cant seem to get the fancy colour thing on lock screen, where is it? thats the only thing that sticks in my mind from the news about this update lol


The reason I knew it was ready was when i clicked check for update on the phone it no longer said, no update available. It said something completely different but still wouldnt let me do it over the phone.

Why they arnt released at the same time I have no idea...
