4.1.2?

Just manually update it.

Because I have a Mac (I know, I know) and it won't acknowledge the N7 being connected to it via USB. I do have a PC, but I really don't want to have to dig it out, wait for it to update a hundred different things before I'm able to use it. I'll just wait for the OTA update to push.

Flashed this morning with CWM. Only problem I had was a few hard hacks I had done. I moved the stock files back and tada....
Still rooted and CWM recovery.

Noticeably faster. Screen rotation is very quick and sensitive, almost too sensitive. WiFi connects faster, as well as screen input to action times.

I would flash from adb if I did not have a custom recovery. Then I would go root and install a custom recovery.

It just makes life easier to own your device and not let your device own you like an apple.

Sent from Nexxie 7. Own your devices don't let them own you.
Unlock, root, and hack...

I think ASUS has adb apple drivers. There is a how to for apples at another forum....

I'm stubbornly waiting for the OTA update. With a Verizon GNex, I'm so used to getting shafted on updates and therefore have to do them myself, I just want it to happen, like magic. I want to experience an update directly from Google in a timely manner just to see what that feels like.

I unfroze all the useless Google crap I previously disabled (Currents, Books, Movies, Magazines) so though I'm rooted, I'm now totally stock and should be good to go. Bring it Google!

I had issues installing it manually because of my system apps I had removed.

Deleting googles device checks from the updater script allowed me to install it without adding all of that back.

Where might that be? Checking the zip file I don't see an "updater"....

Edit: Ooops, never mind, it's there. Doh!

I'm on stock and I updated last night. I then uninstalled Ultimate Rotation Control because it's no longer needed. The update works like a champ!

I rooted on my first N7 but I haven't rooted on the replacement. I can root anytime, I'm just waiting for a compelling reason to root...

ohh i just cleared Google Framework Services.. and what a nightmare! Playstore didn't work and so on... had to remove my account then re-enter mY CraZY 24 dIgIt pA$sW0rD

Hi!

Anyone in the USA getting this update?

KegHead

Loads of people. Otas are usually pushed out by random selection of serial numbers in order to prevent the server from overloading. You just gotta either wait it our or push it manually

My N7 automatically updated itself today around 2 pm.
I left it charging at noon and when I checked at 2 pm I saw a note to reboot the N7 to apply a system update!
I did that and all's good!

Hi!

I guess I'll wait....bought mine at Office Depot about a month ago.

Probably the last!

I have custom recovery (CWM) and SuperSU so I manually updated (thanks Rx!) after doing fresh Titanium and Nandroid backups and putting SuperSU in survival mode. I'm using Motleys kernel, still showing in the about screen for that, but going to re-flash it again anyway.

But all is well in Nexus land. Got my LAMP server running with a Drupal website and my own email server to service registration requests. Only thing left is to find a VPN host that will allow static IP's so I can domain this thing, set up DNS and Google Bots. But going to see if I can do it through tether to my HTC rezound 1st, then VPN host as next alternative.

I bought mine a week ago, so I'll be right there with ya, lol.

Although, mine still got all the incentives that the first wave of devices got, so who knows.
