Google asked android police to take down their copies of it, so I'm not sure if we're going to be allowed to spread it here

I will say its got some very cool features though ;):D

I tried it earlier on my Kindle Fire running JB and it worked decently. it lagged a bit. but hey, can't really say much since it was a leak of something that probably isn't finished. :P

Well I know google asked because it's not 100%, but I figured we over here at Triumph are used to not 100% stuff! I jest, but if it should be taken down I totally understand. Figured I'd give it a shot to people though.

Works great on my jellybean kindle fire. Didn't even bother trying it on my cm7 triumph.

If anyone is interested, there is an apk for the 4.2 gmail on xda as well.

The thought is appreciated, but unfortunately if Google (or any dev for that matter) ask that people don't distribute their software, we have to oblige.

Thanks for understanding! :)

I indeed know that you meant no harm brother, and were just trying to assist in something cool you found, but please, as a general rule, nobody post leaked APKs of anything from Google. Android may be open source, but it is not open source in the traditional sense, like a Linux distro for the server or desktop. As in, you can think of even what will become open source eventually as proprietary software until Google releases the code. My hunch is they do this to build up for a good reveal. So no leaks. Google has actually been pretty darn lenient with leaks thus far, I have not heard of anyone getting fired, sued, or any kind of junk like that. As for GAPPs, they are proprietary software. But once anything under the AOSP is officially released (I hear that's in two weeks :) ) for a new version of Jelly Bean, tweak, share, and remix to your heart's content. Plus, some of these leaks could come with viruses, although unlikely. Plus, we don't want you or any of the site Admins here getting into hot water. Peace, brother! ;)
