Help 4/24 OTA firmware update

yeah, same ole issue this morning, had 90% before i went to bed, down to 13% 9 hours later...boooo....

So I called asus tech support yesterday to voice frustrations in hopes for some solution. The guy on the phone quickly said "do a data wipe and that should fix everything " I told him "what if I waste a hour or two of my time and the problem remains? " he said then I can send it in.

My question is has anyone had any luck with a data wipe resolving the random reboot ect?

1 hours after loading .21 i got the boot loop and yesterday morning I got the SoD. Looks like they haven't fixed all the issues, but at least my tablet is at 15 hours uptime right now (though 10 hours on the charger)

IDK guys, my Transformer has been solid as a rock since this update. Been a week now and not a single reboot, and my battery life is back to lasting most of the week with light usage instead of a day at most.

I'm a happy camper again...

I've been having a similar experience.

The update has significantly reduced the number of occurrences. I've only had 4 reboot, power drains since the update. I was getting 3 or 4 a day before. Not that this is acceptable by any means, but it is slightly better.

Anyone have issues with Google Maps? When I run Places inside GM it just boots me out of GM back to the home screen.

Signing the XDA petition and answered the ASUS Facebook poll (reboots after update)

Just updated my TF. Was not eager to do so due to what I was reading on various fora and the fact that I didn't have any problem with ICS til now.
BTW rerooted my TF with Voodoo OTA RootKeeper.

Same as before the 4/24 update reboots around the 72 hour mark and very rare SOD, no other issues.
I have not removed any apps, not done a FR, only cold/hard resets.
95% satisfied.
opefully we will get Jelly Bean and that will solve everyones issues.
I feel for those with all the cray issues some have had.

Same here on GM. That's a new issue to me. I've never had problems with GM before. Plus, I still get the RR every so often. Since I'm just an occasional user of my TF, I don't find it to be unusable. However, mine obviously still has the bug.

No issues with Google Maps or Places (so far). Average time between reboots is about 30 hours, but always while asleep and has not locked during boot or got stuck in a boot loop. Better, still not right, but better.

I have no problems with GM or Places at the moment. And still no problems to report since the last update. It saddens me to see all the reports of problems since ICS rolled out to our TF.

Maybe a help for some folks. Found a thread on the ASUS TF forum that said he had set the wifi from DHCP to static and no more SOD or reboots, so I figured easy no messing around 30 second fix.
I'm now at 97 hours without a SOD or reboot, I have never gotten past 72 since the ICS rollout.
No FR, no app removal, no wake lock. I do use auto airplane app by Don from the market(free)
Hope this helps someone.
The fix makes no sense why but it is a computer! DUH!

Any chance you can share where that option is? I've looked all over the wi-fi options and the advanced menu and can not find it. I see where it show the IP address of the tablet, but no way to set it.

settings>Wi-Fi then long-press the network you are connected to and choose modify. Once there you scroll tot he bottom and tick the advanced options box and you can switch from DHCP to static IP's.

Since this IT'S, 90% of my icons & all widgets disappear when swiping between screens. It happens whether its been on 2 hour or 12 hours. Also getting android.media.process failure multiple times per session. I have a microSD in the TF101 and the dock.

From the Official ASUS Thread - ICS Update on TF101 thread at XDA:

5/3/2012 Update -
We will release 9.2.1.24 into beta testing shortly. This firmware contains new NV code based upon the beta test group who still had issues with .21. I will provide updates once the firmware goes out to the beta group but it did fix returned units that experienced random lockups after .21.
----
Maybe we'll get a resolution this time.

From what I've read, we will. The beta testers all report the same positive results. It seems that Asus has finally solved SoD, RR, screen tearing and sound issues.

I sure hope these issues get fixed.

I sent an email to ASUS CS about SoD, RR and the speaker balance and this is the response they gave me.
