4/29 Deliveries

i just got back from best buy mobile in the mall, but they said that they didn't get the phones yet. he said they should have got them yesterday but that he would call as soon as they get there.

Lithium-Polymer and Lithium Ion batteries have no memory effect whatsoever; these warnings and advice that you're reading are a carryover from previous battery chemistries where it was good to be do several full drain/recharge cycles.

Lithium Ion, in fact, is actually very bad to do a full discharge and it will reduce the capacity of your battery. 4.2v is full charge for lithium ion/Lithium Polymer, and there is a protection circuit built into the battery somewhere around 2.4-2.7v. Once that threshold of discharge is reached, the battery will cut itself off to prevent even worse damage. This is the point where you have "0%" battery life left on the phone. It's much better to charge your phone frequently than to do full charges and discharges - it will keep your battery in much better shape.

I even go so far as to have special hobby chargers with perfect algorithms to charge my loose lithium ion cells for my flashlights!

+1 Thank you, i didn't want to take the time to post the info you provided, but in other forums "Droid Eris Section" for example this is common knowledge. I guess i'm just used to hanging out in that section where folks are alot more knowledgeable about this sort of thing and everyone takes it as a given. In fact i'm suprised about all the misinformation in this section that has been spread the last couple of days by people who have never had an android phone. Its really kinda funny, but oh well, they'll learn.
 
You will have it by 3pm. That is the latest delivery time for Fed Ex Standard Overnight. I wish there was an option for Fed Ex P1, then it would be delivered by 10:30am.
 
I'm having mine delivered to my business I was a little upset when it said 2day delivery by 7pm on 4/29 as I usually leave by 3pm. But I will wait until 7 in I have to, I can't remember the last thing FedEx sent to me but I get UPS just about everyday and they are here by 10am
Just checked out my tracking number (via Package Tracking App , a must download for people who get packages regularly) and it's on FedEx vehicle for delivery as of 7:09am

What sucks is that I have such a hectic day until 1pm that I won't even get to play with it till then if it comes early :(
 
On the truck for delivery! Never thought it would happen. At least I got to play with the fiance's Inc last night. I used it more than she did!
 
Out for delivery. Says it's "home delivery" so may arrive anytime from now until 7pm.

I checked my email for another FedEx package I received in January and it arrived at 4:15PM. Is FedEx pretty consistent? Should I expect 4:30pm or is it crazy random and uncertain?
 
mine is at a destination sort facility.

Its been there since 4am and its 7:30 now.

Why did i get up at 7am ?

I got my silicone case yesterday from fed-ex, they came at 10:30.

I'm guessing the phone should be here in 3 hours.

Looks like time to get a cup o coffee and a sammitch..
 
Got mine this morning. The nice receptionist brought the package over and dropped it off at my desk. I was SO excited running over to the desk to unbox it, etc, but my **** coworkers already beat me to it, Unboxed my phone, and stuck a Nexus One inside. You cant imagine how confused I was for a brief moment. I wanted to KILL.
 
Ok on the truck for delivery. Sweet, i can feel it in the air! One interesting thing is it says it was put on the truck at 8:37am, but i was checking the tracking on and off for the last hour and until about 10 minutes ago it just said it was at the local fedex facility. Not sure what happened in that 40-45 minutes or why they are delayed, but at least its on its way to me now. Can't wait.
 
So, I get up and the first thing I do is check the delivery status on the Tracking number. Status says it's at my local FexEx facility, and will be delievred by 3PM today.

So, I Google for the FedEx facility number and call them. The lady there says it is being loaded on the truck. I said, can you hold it? She says let me see if I can grab it. So, I stop by on my way to work and pick it up. I am setting it up right now :cool:
 
my incredible is also on the truck- and it is going to my work address so I am hitting refresh every 10 minutes to see if it was dropped off at the front desk... :)
 
I got to work and checked FedEx tracking. The phone was delivered at 7:23 this morning. I ran down to the mailroom and picked it up. It is now charging on my desk.

Enjoy this day my friends, for it is truly Incredible! :D
 
I am sitting in the downstairs living room of my sorority house, making sure I have a view of both the front an back doors. Every time a truck comes around I jump up.. I never had any idea how many trucks/busses come around here.. the UPS guy came at 10. I'm really hoping it makes it here by 12:20 because I have class until 6.
 
same boat as you. I don't think I've ever been this excited over a phone (first smartphone). Been up since 7 and should be in the gym by now but I HAZ TO SIGNZ DA PACKAGE!!!!
 
I stupidly forgot to leave a signature at the door yesterday, and couldn't manage to pick up the package at the times FedEx specified. Though if it's the same as yesterday, I'll be opening the package in two and a half hours!

Yeah, I know what you mean. This isn't fun anymore...lol. I know things will change when the truck gets here but I'm kinda losing excitement at the moment.
 
On the truck for delivery..... Wish it would get here so I can set it up!!!! I may be unemployed (makes the waiting easier - don't have to go anywhere) but I do need to go out tonight and it would be nice to have a phone with me!!!!

Need to charge this puppy while playing with it....

Thinking of charging it through the computer so I can dump stuff on it while using it.
