4.3 update

Yea! I just sent samsung an e-mail they keep on saying "Is there anything else we can help you with" well they can jolly well help getting this phone back to it's original state before the 4.3 software update.....am sure the Newspapers would be interested in this story

I seem to be one of the luck ones. Even the lag when waking up the screen has all but dissapeared. Hope they sort out this out soon for those having serious problems.

They asked me to take my handset into a phone shop 20 miles away from where I live because they are an approved Samsung engineer. My handset is about a week inside it's warranty as well so I might be lucky enough to get a replacement sporting a previous version of Android. I hope to the Lord that they have this sorted by the weekend. If they don't, then I'll post back with what the engineer says...

I did do a factory reset because I was getting really bad lag when waking up the screen. I still had that lag after the factory reset. For some reason that I don't understand the lag seems to have gone and the phone is working as it should. If anything it seems a bit faster now than before the firmware update.

I've also just performed a dalvik cache wipe and things seem much better. Isn't a cache wipe part of a FDR, because I did a FDR last week. This might be a temporary solution, then.

You CAN kinda easily roll back to 4.1.2 manually but the thing is, im not willing to guide a thread full of people with possibly different device versions through it so what i recommend is that everyone starts a thread in the All Things Root sub-forum in here for their carrier/version asking how to Odin flash back to 4.1.2.
After that we can all wait for samsung to fix the update :)
