Help 4.3 Upgrade Samsung Security Issue

I told it to update the security policy and ever since then I have not gotten that popup again. I do have Lookout disabled though since I use another app (Avast) that does something similar to Lookout.

As for any lag, nope. 4.3 runs better than 4.2 did and I ever turned the animations back on and they seem smoother, less laggy than in the past.

Overall 4.3 was the best update this phone ever received.

Another possibility (at least it has worked for me):
Disable the security notice by using the new 4.3 "App ops." Configuration details here, or if you don't have a launcher with Acivities capability (e.g., Apex, Nova), you can download the xShortcut FREE app and do the same thing. Once you've created the shortcut, you can even delete xShortcut if you want. Open App ops, slide to "Device," then scroll down to Knox Notification Manager. Tap it, then set "Post notification" to OFF.

Note that this only eliminates the notification; if something is being blocked by Knox, it will still be blocked. In my case, it was only a pesky warning, occuring every time I connected to any wifi.

You go into the application manager, find lookout and there is an option to disable it.

I thought it had worked, but no the pop ups keep coming! Is anyone experiencing lag at all since the update?

That's kind of what I thought you might be updating with. As far as I know there's nothing that will disable this short of rooting & removing.

This seems like a good option to disable the pop-ups and I considered doing it but am just too concerned about it starting to actually block something down the road and w/o the pop-ups you may not remember that it could be the issue and waste lots of time trying to track down why something isn't working properly. I just REALLY hate that this is being forced upon us and feel like we're owed some sort of a partial refund on what we paid for the phone BEFORE it had this crap because had I known it was going to be forced on us I wouldn't have bought a Samsung this time. That's the beauty of Android, if one manufacturer does something you don't like just go with another one and let your buying dollar speak your piece for you. Bet your butt that I will chalk this up as a very large con the next time I'm weighing the difference between phones.

Absolutely! I own two Android devices from Samsung, as does my wife

I THINK I HAVE A FIX

I upgraded to 4.3 a couple of weeks ago.

Galaxy S4.
Have updated the security policy.
Have NOT installed the additional knox app.
Was getting the warning several times a day.

After reading this thread realised i could make it appear if i stopped and started Wifi.

After a bit of playing i think i have stopped this by setting Knox as a device admin.

Goto settings, more, security, device admins, and enable Knox.

Since doing that and starting and stopping wifi etc ive not had another warning!!!

I already have several other apps that my company makes me install that are dev admins because i can view confidential data on my phone. So another one makes little difference to me. But agree it should be an optional install!
