Root 4.4.1 Update?

Lenny... I used TWRP to flash the update. I didn't want to wait for the OTA... so I just downloaded the zip and used TWRP to flash it. Worked fine. Then had to re root.

Since I'm away from home and didn't want to re-root (read.... I'm lazy ) I found THIS over at XDA. It was quick and easy.

and it works fine... I also did the baseband update (.17 to .23) from

So far, I have seen nothing different in terms of radio performance on AT&T.

Actually, have to revise this. A big piece of my commute where I used to get nothing I got 5 bars H+. Love it!

How are hspa speeds for you? I have the cheap 500mb lte plan so I only get hspa+ and its insanely slow I get speeds less than a mb

me too. at my location i get 3G with occasional H. with 3 bar H = 1.3 mbps
4 bar h in a burst mode i hit 2 mbps today.

I haven't run that speed test lately. WhenI first got the N5, I wasn't properly provisioned for LTE and I was getting, variably, between 5 and 8MBps. Blelow is the LTE speed I'm getting right now with 3 bars.

It will say H+ in the bar if you're on HSPA+, which those speeds would be relatively comparable to LTE. H in the bar is just regular HSPA, which would be slower (obviously).
