4.52" screen and 1.2ghz dual core

Sprint has bumped my upgrade up on two occasions. Once the gave it to me about 3 weeks early and one about 2 months early. Definitly worth a try.

I get yearly upgrades now, though. It's Very nice! ;-)
Last year i had my one year premier upggrade moved up 2 months when the epic came out. That means I had an upgrde 10 months into my contract! Just google sprint acct services direct number, no wait and u are reachhing high level support, be nice and ask politely u are not entitled to anything.

Stopped in the AT&T store today on my way home from work. Looked at the INFUSE and that screen is crazy. If this has the same screen then I am sold on the GALAXY SII. Skipped the EVO3D and the PHOTON. I think this has the right features to justify an upgrade from my EVO I got on launch day. Only thing that puts me off is the talk of SAMSUNG's lack of updates.

Thats why when I purchase a phone, I get it right then and there for what it has to offer. Any updates that come later I just look at it as a plus. I'm with you on this phone as well. I have the original evo and I just wasn't into the evo 3d. I just need to see what the Nexus Prime has to offer.

All you fellow early EVO 4G adopters who are planning on getting this phone, what strings are you pulling to get early upgrades or discounts? Or are you just planning on coughing the 500 or so bucks to buy the phone outright?? Just curious :-)

I'm jealous I don't think ill have any strings to pull. So to cough all that extra dough, or not...that's the question...

I'm in the same boat as you EVO owners lol. So far there was no phone worthy to upgrade. That is until this beauty came.....the Epic 4G Touch. To me this is THE phone worthy to be the EVO successor. Damn I really want this phone. In my opinion I regarded the GS2 the phone of the year. Now its on Sprint.*drools* I'm trying to debate if I want to get the Epic Touch or wait for the Nexus Prime. How do I go about trying to get an early upgrade...if I do go with the E4GT?

I wanted the 3D when it first came out so i called and bought out the rest of my contract. I had a little over a year left so It came out to $115.00

Needless to say, I returned my 3d and never actually got charged that 115 lol.

Looking at that graph makes me want the iPhone...nice and svelte.

I just cant believe the resolution is so low for being so big...tsk.

Dude, during the few months I've been on this site, in every forum, all I've seen you do is act like a whiny little bitch. Stop complaining about the big screen and Android being "unpolished" and go buy your damn iPhone. Plenty of people who have experience with small screens and iPhones want big screens and ability to customize freely. I think we would all be happier if you just stopped the bitching already.

This is what I think of when people complain about phones being too big.

As someone who has an Evo and Evo 3D this phone looks amazing. My 30 days is up on the 18th for my 3D so I may just have to make a quick stop to the sprint store on the 16th.:D

^If you want a tablet sized phone with enormous icons because of a super low DPI that is an obvious copy of the iPhone OS, go for it. In no way am I an Apple fanboy, but credit must be given where due iOS and Android BOTH have strengths and weaknesses.

I ended up with the Nexus S 4G, it will appease me until the Nexus Prime shows up.

So just about an hour ago I received a sign from God. I'm pretty sure he wants me to get this phone because the screen on my Epic died on me because it had water damage :( I am now using my old sh*tty POS excuse for a smartphone Samsung Moment that functions like a 200 mhz claplizard. After about 2 hours of the phone being on, my service goes out and it says I'm in Airplane Mode, but I can't turn it off. So I have to turn it off and turn it back on (which takes about 12 mins.) I hate this phone with a fiery passion! I'm going to be miserable with this phone for a while.... But its gonna make the experience of getting my Epic 4G Touch so much better! :p

I hear you, I'm doing the same thing. I sold my Epic 4G for $250, and am using my Moment until this is released. Works out ok financially, but i want to throw this phone.

You say it's a copy yet you bought another Sammy phone will an even worse screen. That makes no sense. iPhone is a great phone, but I've never met one person who ever confused a Sammy phone with an iPhone.

Just stop, please. Tablet sized phone? Phones like the Evo, Galaxy, Thunderbolt, sensation and every other high end big phone has shown that bigger is what people want and we the consumers voted with our wallets. Its not like every carrier is forcing us into 4 inch + phones. There are plenty of tiny-hands phones for people like you on every carrier.

No one was bashing on the iPhone in this thread, in fact, this site does more than its fair share of praising of iOS, more than I've seen in any other forum. What you do in every forum on AF is constantly bitch and moan about how Android could be more like Apple, and its annoying. We all know what we want and the trade off's we have to live with in order to enjoy Android. There's not a thing in iOS that would make me want to change over even though I would like hardware acceleration, and even then my Evo is just as smooth. I guess some people love to bitch about anything.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one judging from the few PMs I've received.

I was so disappointed with my Hero, that I talked Sprint into giving me an upgrade when the Evo 4G came out in June. This was a four month early upgrade. (I only had the Hero for 8 months.)

IMO that's hideous, looks like a piece from my wife's China cabinet. White and chrome do not mix.

agreed, sometimes copying apple leads to hideous designs.. unless you really like white. I prefer darker colors on things like cars and computers.

charcoal grey = sexy,

and black laptops look better than white ones

that black color scheme on the hp envy 14 looks better than any mbp ever made.

And so it is with phones. Just my opinion, but a good one.

Looking at the white phone above, I realized that this new Epic Touch is missing the chrome bezel that comes on a bunch of the GS devices. I think that would've been a really nce touch and added to the high end look of this flagship type phone...

Of course I would prefer the darker colors like black or charcoal grey. But there's nothing wrong with having a white option.

I would like to see the SGS III come in the silver aluminum or duralumin black (Samsung Series 9 is made out of). That would be a hard body phone and sexy.

This phone comes with Sprint ID and a lot of other Sprint apps. I wonder if we will get to remove them like the HTC Evo 3D.
